Job summary

Avera Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform CT examinations and support the department’s operations at McKennan Radiology. This role emphasizes high-quality imaging, patient safety, and education of staff and students.

The position requires an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology and ARRT certification within 60 days, with nights rotating weekends and holidays. A sign-on bonus may be available and the team values compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work required hours and have adequate visual acuity.
• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• ARRT Radiography certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and adjust equipment for imaging.
• Perform CT procedures with proper positioning and protocol.
• Screen patients for allergies and contrast needs; consult with radiologist.
• Document procedures and data in the patient record.
• Participate in quality control and improvement activities.
• Monitor inventory and notify when supplies are low.
• Report equipment malfunctions.
• Produce high-quality images for interpretation.
• Mentor students and aid in education.
• Assist with on-the-job training and orientation.
