Job summary

Avera Hand County Memorial Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiographic and CT equipment, providing clinically diagnostic images as directed by physicians.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification expected within 60 days of hire.
• Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures accurately per standards and protocols.
• Initiates intervention to radiologist or referring practitioner when urgent.
• Reviews indications for exams and reports inappropriate indications to supervisor.
• Provides exam data for interpretation by radiologist.
• Uses PACS, RIS, HIS/EMR systems and handles clerical duties.
• Archives images and ensures proper delivery to radiologist group.
• Maintains safety, quality, and infection control standards.
• Mentors staff and students during training and rotations.
• Supports records analysis and regulatory compliance tasks.
