Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiographic and CT equipment, producing diagnostic images under physician direction. The role requires ARRT certification within 60 days and an accredited Radiologic Technology program credential.

You will participate in quality assurance, maintain patient safety, and support clerical tasks in a fast-paced radiology department. A sign-on bonus may be available and a strong team-focused culture is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• ARRT certification within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiographic and CT equipment to provide clinically diagnostic images as directed by physicians.
• Initiates intervention to radiologist or referring practitioner when an exam requires urgent attention.
• Reviews indications for exams and reports inappropriate indications to supervisor.
• Provides exam data in complete and accurate format for interpretation by reading radiologist.
• Utilizes PACS, RIS, HIS/EMR systems and performs general clerical duties.
• Archives image data for permanent storage and sends CDs to radiologist group.
• Mantenes confidentiality and adheres to safety and infection control standards.
• Assists with training, rotations and orientation for students and staff.
