Job summary

St. Michael’s Hospital Avera in Tyndall, SD is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging in accordance with established standards and quality controls.

You will work full-time (72 hours bi-weekly) with day, night, weekend and on-call coverage, collaborating with a dedicated care team to support patient care and safety. ARRT licensure or eligibility is required; CT certification and/or experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the ARRT or eligible for ARRT certification.
• CT certification and/or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures per established protocols.
• Ensures quality imaging and patient safety.
• Prepares and positions patients for exams.
• Follows radiation safety and infection control standards.
• Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
• Documents procedures accurately in EHR/PACS.
• Handles paperwork and filing per department policies.
• Collaborates with providers and staff to support patient care.
• Keeps current with advances in radiology technology.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and professional conduct.

Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist supports department coverage by performing diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols.

Essential Job Functions

• Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures according to establish protocols.
• Ensure quality imaging and patient safety.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for exams.
• Follow radiation safety and infection control standards.
• Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
• Document procedures accurately in EHR/PACS
• Handles the necessary paperwork, filing and other office procedures in accordance with department policies.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to support patient care.
• Keeps current with the latest trends in technology and radiological procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and professional appearance and conduct.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

EDUCATION

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

Licensed by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists or current enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Must be eligible for ARRT certification. CT certification and/or experience preferred.
