Job summary

Avera Gettysburg Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate radiographic and CT equipment and provide high-quality diagnostic images as directed. You will collaborate with physicians and the radiology team to ensure efficient patient care and accurate image acquisition.

The role requires ARRT certification and the ability to work a 7:30 AM–5:00 PM day shift. Eligible sign-on bonuses and student loan repayment programs support this position.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or Radiologic Technology certificate; ARRT certification within 60 days.
• Ability to work Day Shift 7:30AM-5PM and maintain visual acuity.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiology procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Notify radiologist or referring practitioner when immediate attention is required.
• Review indications for exams and report inappropriate indications to supervisor.
• Provide exam data for interpretation by radiologists.
• Use PACS, RIS, HIS/EMR systems and perform general clerical duties.
• Archive image data for permanent storage and transfer to radiologist group.
• Maintain department policies, safety and infection control.
• Mentor staff and students with on-the-job training and orientation.
