Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking an MRI Technologist to support diagnostic imaging using MRI techniques, prep patients, select protocols, and ensure safety and high image quality.

The role requires ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT certification (or equivalent) with a related bachelor’s degree preferred. You will work in a clinical setting, collaborating with licensed practitioners and mentoring students in a team focused on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Certification required prior to employment (ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or related field preferred.
• Specialty training program in radiologic technology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper preparation, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety and image quality.
• Administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and verify data storage and transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist with MRI interventional procedures.
• Apply MRI safety principles, participate in safety assessments, and select appropriate pulse sequences based on protocols.

Role Overview: MRI Technologists perform diagnostic imaging using magnetic resonance technology, preparing patients, selecting appropriate protocols, and ensuring safety and image quality. They assist licensed practitioners in MRI procedures, evaluate images, and manage data transfer and storage.
