Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging using MRI techniques, independently or with licensed practitioners. You will prep patients, operate MRI systems, and optimize protocols while applying ALARA safety principles.

Responsibilities include ensuring image quality, data transfer, and assisting with interventional procedures, plus educating students and staff on safety practices.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR, ARMRIT, or NMTCB certification required (with MR credentials).
• Graduate of a radiologic technology program; bachelor’s preferred.
• Strong MRI safety knowledge and clinical protocol experience.

• Obtain orders, prep patients, document history and confidentiality.
• Operate MRI equipment, optimize protocols, ensure patient safety.
• Assess image quality, verify transfer/archival of data.

Job description

Role Overview: MRI Technologists perform diagnostic imaging using magnetic resonance techniques, independently or assisting licensed practitioners. They prepare and operate MRI equipment, ensure patient safety, and optimize imaging protocols while adhering to safety principles like ALARA. They evaluate images for quality, verify data transfer, and assist with interventional procedures. Additionally, they educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying safety protocols to minimize risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, document clinical history, and maintain confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and ensure patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and verify data archival or transfer.
• Assist with magnetic resonance interventional procedures and support the licensed practitioner.
• Select pulse sequences based on protocols and data acquisition needs.
• Participate in quality and process improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in all duties.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Certification by ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB (with ARRT-MR or ARMRIT credentials).
• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor’s in a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety, technical protocols, and patient care.
