Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency in Scranton, PA seeks an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging, prepare patients, verify orders, and ensure safety and image quality.

You will apply imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, monitor ALARA guidelines, and assist with MRI safety assessments while collaborating with licensed practitioners.

Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent is required; graduates of radiologic technology programs and related bachelor’s degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of a radiologic technology program.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, verify patient identity, and prepare patients for exams.
• Utilize imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles.
• Administer medications via vascular access as prescribed and document activities.
• Evaluate image quality, verify data storage, and perform post-processing as needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare team members.
• Apply MRI safety principles to minimize risks.
• Assist with MRI interventional procedures and perform imaging as prescribed.
• Select pulse sequences considering protocols and data acquisition factors.
• Participate in MRI safety assessments and implant investigations.

MRI Technologists perform diagnostic imaging using magnetic resonance technology, independently or assisting licensed practitioners. They prepare patients, ensure accurate imaging, and optimize safety and image quality while adhering to protocols and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain correct orders, verify patient identity, and prepare patients for exams.

Qualifications and Skills:
