Required are ARRT MR, ARMRIT, or NMTCB with ARRT-MR specialization; Specialty Training in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred. The candidate will educate others and work collaboratively in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures for diagnostic purposes and ensure patient safety.
• Obtain orders, prepare patients, document clinical history and prepare for imaging.
• Apply imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and ensure ALARA principles.
• Assist licensed practitioners and manage data transfer and storage.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers in MRI safety.
• Support MRI interventional procedures and participate in quality improvement.

Job description

Role: MRI Technologist I responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic purposes, assisting licensed practitioners, and ensuring patient safety.

Key Duties:

• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and manage data transfer and storage.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and apply safety principles to minimize risks.
• Assist with MRI interventional procedures and select appropriate pulse sequences.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.

Qualifications:

• Certification by ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB with ARRT-MR specialization.
• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
