Job summary

The MRI Technologist I role at LiveWell Homecare Agency supports diagnostic imaging in a clinical setting, independently operating MRI equipment, preparing patients, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

You will apply imaging protocols, evaluate image quality, educate students and healthcare staff, and participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB with MR endorsement.
• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology training program; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of MRI safety, technical procedures, and patient care.
• Ability to educate others and participate in departmental improvements.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history confidentially.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and verify data transfer and storage.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, assist with MRI-related procedures, and select appropriate pulse sequences.
• Apply magnetic resonance safety principles, participate in quality improvement activities, and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.
