Job summary

Highmark Health in Pittsburgh is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures with minimal supervision. The role includes patient positioning, image quality assessment, and educating patients about procedures and safety.

Qualified candidates have an Associate’s degree or equivalent, ARRT Radiography certification within 6 months, CPR certification, and pass background checks. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered with a 3-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or six months to one year related experience.
• ARRT Radiography certification required within 6 months of hire (12 months for incumbents hired before April 2026).
• CPR certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures.
• Analyses results and identifies image quality issues.
• Repositions patient and repeats procedures as needed to ensure quality.
• Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
• Reviews patient history and physician orders; educates patient about procedures and equipment.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice; monitors patient condition.
• Prepares equipment; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; follows safety standards and conducts quality control.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
