Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist II to join the Diagnostic Radiology team on a part-time basis (24 hours). The technologist will work at East Newton or Harrison Avenue campuses and follow Radiology leadership guidance to ensure quality imaging and patient care.

Responsibilities include performing radiologic procedures, adhering to policies, and providing clinical supervision when needed, while maintaining excellent communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and staff.
• State license required and radiology education requirements.
• Two years post-high school training in radiologic technology.

POSITION SUMMARY

Position: Radiology Technologist II

Department: Diagnostic Radiology

Schedule: Part Time, 24 hours

Primary duties are to work as technologist on either East Newton or Harrison Avenue campus while also implementing policy and procedures as determined necessary through Radiology Supervisor, Operations Manager and Radiology Administration Director.

Under general supervision of Technical Group Leadership and Chief Technologist Operations. The Radiologic Technologist provides skill and initiative to the department mission through interactions with staff, Chief Technologist and others as necessary.

EDUCATION

Work requires knowledge of principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology practices and the operation and maintenance of Radiologic equipment generally acquired through the completion of two years post-high school training in an approved school of radiologic technology.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES, & REGISTRATIONS

RTR and ARRT required, with work experience of two years or more.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Work requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and all/any apprehensions, to instruct students and to provide technical supervision to staff technologists. State license required and all applicable radiology education requirements.

Compensation Range

$42.39- $50.66 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
