Job summary

HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital in Sarasota, Florida, is seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist II to join our imaging team. You will perform radiographic procedures, produce high-quality images, and assist physicians in diagnosis with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities include selecting technical factors, positioning patients, documenting procedures in MEDITECH, maintaining equipment, and communicating with radiologists and care teams.

Qualifications

• Completed 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school.
• Valid ARRT certification.
• Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform duties requiring lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographs (x-rays) to assist physicians in diagnosis.
• Ensure high-quality images using proper positioning and markers.
• Prepare, transfer and position patients while maintaining modesty.
• Document all pertinent information in MEDITECH accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and care teams.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Radiology Technologist

Ourimagingteams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist on a full-time basis. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment and perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Tech) include but are not limited to:

• Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
• Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices as appropriate
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

Qualifications

• Completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school
• Valid ARRT certification
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
