Job summary

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital in Florida is seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs and assist physicians in patient care. You will operate radiographic equipment, ensure image quality, and maintain patient safety and comfort.

We value accurate procedures, teamwork with radiologists and staff, and adherence to MEDITECH workflows while delivering compassionate, respectful care. Prior ARRT certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist with ARRT certification and active Florida CRT licensure.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in radiography preferred; ability to stand, reach, lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographs (x-rays) of patients to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment.
• Take high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images with proper lead markers and date/time stickers.
• Select appropriate technical factors and assist with contrast administration when indicated.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment and perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Tech may include:

• You possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures.
• You will obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated.
• You will select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated.
• You will prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated.
• You will document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
• You will maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist.
• You will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree
• ARRT certification
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health CRT licensure
• Current American Heart Association certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred. Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 100 lbs.
