HCA Florida Citrus Hospital in Florida is seeking a Radiology Technologist PRN to join our imaging team. You will perform radiographs and assist physicians in diagnosis while maintaining compassion and safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school.
• Valid ARRT (R) certification.
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting.
• Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Possess sound knowledge of diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment (surgical, portable, trauma, general, fluoroscopic).
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images with proper lead markers and date/time when indicated.
• Select appropriate technical factors to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated.
• Prepare, transfer and position patients ensuring modesty and safety.
• Document pertinent clinical information prior to exam and complete MEDITECH fields accurately.
• Maintain communication with patient, radiologist and other caregivers; ensure equipment cleanliness and readiness.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Radiology Technologist PRN

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist for PRN/per diem/as-needed role. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment, performing procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech or X-Ray Tech) include but are not limited to:

• Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
• Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies
