HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist to join our imaging team. You will perform radiographs and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and image quality.

This full-time role requires rotating call as our Level II Trauma Center, with collaboration with radiologists and care teams to support accurate diagnoses. Candidates should have ARRT certification, Florida license, and BLS, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs while

Qualifications

• Florida-licensed radiology technologist with ARRT (R) credential.
• Active Florida licensure (CRT) and BLS certification.
• Experience in an acute-care hospital setting preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and assisting patient handling.
• Vocational/Technical education completed.
• Ability to work rotating call shifts as a Level II Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographs (x-rays) to assist physicians in diagnosis.
• Obtain high-quality images with proper markers and timing.
• Select appropriate technical factors for patient and contrast media.
• Position patients respectfully and safely, preserving modesty.
• Document clinical information and obtain informed consent.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Radiology Technologist

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist on a full-time basis. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnosis/treatment, and you will perform procedures accurately in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

Please note our facility is a Level II Trauma Center which requires availability for rotating call assignments.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Tech) include but are not limited to:

• Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures


• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated


• Assure only optimal images are submitted for interpretation


• Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated


• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment


• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time


• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist


• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical education


• Valid ARRT (R)


• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)


• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification


• Experience as a Radiology Tech in an acute-care hospital setting is preferred


• Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
