HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist on a PRN basis to operate diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in angiography and IR lab procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring patient status. Responsibilities include preparing patients, obtaining consent, and ensuring image quality while communicating with radiologists.

Required: ARRT credential, Florida CRT license, BLS, and 1–3 years of radiology experience with IR preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years licensed Radiology experience; IR experience preferred.
• Florida license (CRT) active.
• Current ARRT credential and BLS certification required.
• Associate degree from AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsabilités

• Operate imaging equipment in Interventional Radiology Lab and support procedures (scrubbing, circulating, recording/monitoring).
• Prepare and position patients and equipment safely.
• Perform radiographic procedures accurately and timely per procedures.
• Assist with administration of contrast media per policy.
• Obtain high-quality radiographs and review for quality assurance.
• Document patient information and obtain informed consent as required.
• Maintain communication with patients and radiologists throughout procedures.
• Handle rotating call as assigned.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Interventional Radiology Technologist
We are seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist on a PRN basis to operate medical diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in imaging procedures such as angiography, as well as those performed in the Interventional Radiology Lab (scrubbing, circulating, and recording/monitoring patient status).

Responsibilities may include:

• Demonstrate accountability and responsibility and perform procedures in a caring, compassionate, and respectful manner.
• You will prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner in accordance with established operating procedures.
• You will perform technical radiographic procedures in accordance with established operating procedures and routines accurately and in a timely manner.
• You will assist in administration of contrast media in accordance with departmental policy and procedure.
• You will obtain high quality radiographic images; reviews quality of radiographs to insure quality standards have been met.
• You will obtain and document all pertinent patient information prior to exam, i.e., patient history, pregnancy, allergies and obtains informed consent in accordance with departmental policy and procedure.
• You will maintain effective communication with patient; provides explanation of procedures within scope of practice.
• You will maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists.
• You will be responsible for rotating call will be assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Associate Degree from a 2-year AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Valid ARRT credential
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 1-3 years licensed experience in Radiology; one (1) year of IR experience preferred
• Angio, Peripheral and Neuro experience a plus
