Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL seeks a Radiology Technologist with OR experience for a hybrid role. Responsibilities include diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy, with OR/ED support, RIS management, and patient care. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active BLS certification is required.
• ARRT registry eligible; OR ARRT certification within 6 months.
• Florida state radiology licensure is required.
• Technical Diploma or AS/2-year radiology degree required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Support OR and ED diagnostic imaging; may assist in minor invasive procedures.
• Manage RIS data, file room, clerical tasks, and assist physicians; assist patient transport.
• Provide strong customer service and interpersonal interaction.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking, and clear written/verbal communication.
• Proficient with computer systems used in radiology workflows.
• Preferred: vascular cases experience in the OR.

Position Details:

• Facility: BayCare Health System, Surgery Cardiovascular-St. Joseph's Main and Children's Hospital
• Location: Tampa, FL
• Status: Full Time, Exempt: No
• Shift Hours: 6:30am - 5:00pm
• Shift: Shift 1, Days
• Weekend Work: Occasional
• On Call: Yes

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities:

• Performs diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• May perform minor invasive procedures and support operating room and emergency department diagnostic imaging services.
• Responsible for all duties related to imaging patient care, RIS data management, file room, general clerical, physician assistance, patient transportation.
• Must have customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates time management, critical thinking, written, and verbal skills.
• Possesses computer skills appropriate to the position.
• Preferred experience with vascular cases in the OR

Requirements:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• AART (Radiologic Technologists) - Registry Eligible; OR – ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) - within 6 months
• Radiology – State of Florida
• Technical Diploma (Radiology) OR Associates Degree – Radiology
