Job summary

The Elliot Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Hooksett, NH. The role involves performing radiography procedures in line with ASRT standards and the department’s protocols.

You will participate in quality control activities using the APIE model, perform venipuncture, and prepare/administer/document contrast media as needed. Per Diem schedule included.

Qualifications

  • Completion of AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist training.
  • 24-month clinical internship required.
  • Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy registration required.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • Ability to obtain BLS during orientation.
  • Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiography procedures in accordance with ASRT Practice Standards and Code of Ethics.
  • Adheres to departmental exam protocols.
  • Participates in quality control and quality assurance using the APIE model.
  • Performs venipuncture.
  • Prepares, administers, and documents contrast-related activities.

About the Job:

The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A radiographer performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.

What You’ll Do:
  • Performs radiography procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) “Radiography Practice Standards” and the ASRT “Code of Ethics”
  • Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols
  • Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the “APIE” model.
  • Performs venipuncture
  • Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to contrast
Who You Are:
  • Completion of formal Radiological Technologist training from an AMA approved school
    • Twenty-four month clinical internship required
  • Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, Required
  • ARRT certification, Required
    • ARRT eligible candidates will be considered for hire with the expectation that certification will be obtained within 12 months of hire
  • Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
  • Experience with Epic, Preferred
