Job summary

Elliot Health System in Manchester, NH is seeking a Computed Tomography Technologist to perform CT procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and 3D images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner and assisting with interventional cases. The CT Tech supports the team in a fast-paced, modern department.

Graduation from an accredited program in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine is required, along with ARRT CT certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine program.
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Certification required.
• ARRT (CT) certification required; ARRT eligible candidates may be hired with 12-month certification plan.
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation and maintain during employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT procedures and related techniques for imaging.
• Produces sectional and 3D images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
• Assists with interventional procedures when needed.
• Ensures radiation protection for patient, staff, and self per safety standards.
• Records exam times, room numbers, and technique details.

About the Job:

A Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs computed tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for the interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed practitioner and assists with interventional procedures. The CT Technologist performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Mission, Philosophy and Code of Conduct of Elliot Health System.

What You’ll Do:

• Practices within the scope of practice of the computed tomography technologist as outlined by the American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT)
• Performs venipuncture
• Prepares and positions patient for CT procedures according to the CT procedure manual.
• Provides radiation protection to patient, staff, and self-according to prescribed safety standards
• Records patient history, unusual conditions/limitations, and other information such as; exam time, room number, and technique

Who You Are:

• Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine technology, Required
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Certification Required
• ARRT (CT) certification, Required
  • ARRT eligible candidates will be considered for hire with the expectation that certification will be obtained within 12 months of hire
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
