Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our radiology team. The candidate will perform and assist in diagnostic/therapeutic imaging procedures, maintain patient records, and ensure readiness of emergency equipment.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses and staff, adhere to safety guidelines, and pursue ARRT licensure within 12 months if not already registered. Qualified applicants will have education in Radiologic Technology, CPR certification, strong

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum six months experience as a diagnostic Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• One year experience with patients preferred.
• Registered and certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Registry eligible and must become registered within 12 months of hire.
• BCLS (CPR) certification.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital and departmental policies; participates in in-service and education offerings.
• Performs or assists in diagnostic/therapeutic procedures in accordance with state Radiation Protection regulations; maintains credentials.
• Maintains coordination of activities to accomplish work objectives.
• Ensures readiness of emergency equipment and supplies; responds appropriately to emergencies.
• Maintains knowledge of procedures, equipment and systems used for job functions; ensures availability of supplies and readiness of equipment.
• Ensures accurate patient records via data entry, validation and archival of images.
• Provides instruction, education and consultation to health care personnel and patients to improve patient care.
• Provides emergency on-call coverage after hours as required.
• Delivers age/development appropriate care per guidelines.
