Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, verify patient information, and assist with contrast administration. You will collaborate with radiologists and physicians, select appropriate equipment, and maintain accurate records according to department standards.

This role requires ARRT-recognized radiologic technology education and registry eligibility within one year, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program
• Registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary
• Selects and operates equipment and demonstrates correct anatomic positioning skills
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards
