Job summary

Advocate Health is recruiting a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, document patient histories, verify patient identities, and prepare contrast media. The role requires ARRT-recognized education, registry eligibility within a year, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date; BLS required.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to the procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by the procedure and maintains positioning accuracy.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
