Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Registry eligible; registry completion within 1 year of hire. BLS required.
• Knowledge of growth and development relative to patient populations.
• Ability to operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment safely.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history on the requisition submitted by the physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by the procedure and demonstrates proper positioning.
• Maintains records per departmental standards.
