Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist for Willard Hospital to perform diagnostic radiology under supervision. The role emphasizes safe imaging practices, proper patient positioning, and strict adherence to radiation protection protocols.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology, with state licensure preferred, and has experience with radiology information systems. EPIC and PACS familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates from an ARRT accredited institute preferred.
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• State licensure preferred unless state requires it.
• BLS Basic Life Support required at hire for some locations; preferred prior to independent patient care at others.
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred.
• Experience with Radiology Information System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient's clinical history and lab work.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest.
• Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Operates imaging equipment to perform procedures.
• Verifies informed consent and documents pre/post procedure activities.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography; aseptic technique as needed.
• Performs timeout as required by policy.
• Identifies, prepares and/or administers medications/contrast as prescribed.
