Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Highlands in Sparta, TN is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist in Imaging | Radiology to perform high-quality radiologic exams and ensure patient safety. This role requires proper licensure and credentials to be obtained within stated timelines.

Responsibilities include accurate patient positioning, data validation in PACS, and maintaining a sterile, efficient imaging environment. This position offers PRN day shift hours within Ascension's imaging department.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire or transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI within 90 days of hire date or transfer date.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist (Radiography) credential within 90 days of hire date or transfer date.
• ARDMS Medical Sonography credential within 90 days of hire date or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality radiologic exams by positioning patients and selecting precise technical factors.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and monitor for physical changes to ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Validate all image data and patient history within the PACS system for reliable clinical information.
• Maintain a sterile, organized, and ready-to-care procedure environment and monitor equipment performance.

• Execute high-quality radiologic exams by expertly positioning patients and selecting precise technical factors to provide physicians with the clear images needed for accurate diagnosis.
• Protect patient well-being by strictly following radiation safety guidelines and monitoring for any physical changes during procedures, ensuring a safe and secure imaging experience.
• Advocate for diagnostic excellence by validating all image data and patient history within the PACS system, ensuring the medical team has immediate access to reliable clinical information.
• Maintain a high-standard clinical environment by proactively monitoring equipment performance and ensuring all procedure areas are sterile, organized, and ready for care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. quired.
