Position Summary:

Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of Program in Discipline - required or validated by current licensure
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• KY State Radiation Operators License or Temporary License
• ARRT certification within 6 months of hire
• BCLS certification within 90 days of hire
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must handle stressful environments and take appropriate actions.
• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patients about procedures, equipment, and exams.
• Prepares and administers contrast media or medications as scoped, monitors patient condition, and reports changes.
• Prepares equipment and supplies, selects imaging parameters, and implements safety standards.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and performs quality control.
• Positions patients, performs imaging, analyzes results, and resolves image quality issues.
• Reports scan results accurately.
