Job Description

The Regional Service Technician will work remotely from a home office more than 240 miles from a branch, performing inspections, repairs, and maintenance on commercial roofing systems, contributing to our company's success and reputation.

Responsibilities

1. Roofing Inspections and Assessments:
   • Conduct inspections, document findings, and prepare detailed reports.
   • Use tools like thermal imaging devices and moisture meters.
   • Identify safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
2. Roofing Repairs and Maintenance:
   • Perform repairs on flat, metal, and shingle roofs.
   • Diagnose issues like leaks and damage, replace materials, and apply sealants.
   • Follow safety guidelines during repairs.
3. Safety and Quality Assurance:
   • Follow safety policies and industry standards.
   • Conduct quality inspections and report deficiencies.
4. Equipment and Material Handling:
   • Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely.
   • Assist with inventory and coordinate material needs.
5. Work Order Execution:
   • Interpret work orders, schedule tasks, and gather materials.
   • Execute work efficiently per standards and policies.
6. Customer Service:
   • Communicate professionally with clients, explain work, and ensure satisfaction.
   • Maintain a clean work area and respect client property.
7. Documentation and Communication:
   • Accurately record activities using our software platform.
   • Complete paperwork timely and communicate project updates.
   • Participate in team meetings and suggest process improvements.
8. Safety and Professional Development:
   • Stay updated on industry trends and safety practices.
   • Follow safety policies, including PPE use.
9. Additional Responsibilities:
   • Handle other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in commercial roofing.
• Knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and repair techniques.
• Proficient with roofing tools and safety procedures.
• Ability to interpret work orders and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel long distances.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Team-oriented attitude.
• Valid driver's license and OSHA certification or willingness to obtain it.
