Job summary

You will apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis and ensure patient safety, comfort, and image quality.

Responsibilities include operating radiographic equipment, processing images in RIS/PACS, and collaborating with physicians, radiologists, and staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of AMA-approved radiologic technology program.
• Current Rhode Island license to work as radiologic technologist.
• Active ARRT certification and ongoing competency in radiographic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Explain radiologic examinations to patients to reduce apprehension.
• Operate fixed or portable radiographic equipment in Radiology.
• Process radiographs and upload to RIS/PACS for physician review.
• Support safety, infection control, and patient comfort during exams.
• Assist with contrast media administration as directed.
