Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Radiology Tech Assistant at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. The role supports imaging procedures, transports patients, and ensures clean, ready rooms and supplies while adhering to safety guidelines.

Working with Radiology Technologists, you will assist during MRI/CT/X-ray procedures, prepare materials, and help with patient positioning and monitoring per training. Evening/night shifts and hospital environment provide hands-on experience.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalency required.
Ability to read, write and verbally communicate effectively in English.
Must have numerical and analytical skills to prepare contrast media and to follow procedures that require quantitative symbols.
Understand the relevant parameters regarding Radiation Safety and ALARA.

Responsibilities

Transports patients to and from imaging modality.
Adheres to safety guidelines for MRI, CT, X-Ray and Nuclear Medicine.
Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of imaging areas.
Maintains cleanliness of imaging rooms, changing rooms and equipment.
Maintains stock levels and conducts daily inventory.
Prepares contrast material as needed per procedures.
Provides radiology patient/equipment transport services and assists with procedures.
