Job summary

WVU Medicine is seeking a Radiology Technologist - Level I to support diagnostic imaging procedures and patient care. The role requires state radiography licensure, ARRT certification, and Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Radiography license required by state board where services will be provided
• ARRT Radiography certification required
• Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
• State and federal background checks as applicable

Responsibilities

• Rotates in all Diagnostic areas to develop technical skills.
• Perform imaging procedures based on patient status and imaging protocols.
• Produce high-quality images with proper exposure factors and minimal radiation.
• Educate patients about radiographic procedures and address questions.
• Coordinate daily workflow with radiology staff and departments.
• Ensure compliance with ARRT ethics and hospital policies.
• Supervise and instruct radiology students as appropriate.
• Report equipment failures promptly.
