Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown seeks an experienced Radiology Technologist to rotate across diagnostic areas, perform imaging procedures, and deliver high-quality images while prioritizing patient safety.

The role requires ARRT certification, state radiography licensure as applicable (MD/OH/WV/PA), BLS within 30 days, and completion of a Medical Imaging program. 24 scheduled hours per week with opportunities for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• State radiography license as required: MD – Maryland Board of Physicians; OH – Ohio Department of Health; PA – no state licensure required; WV – WV Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Tech Board.
• ARRT certification upon hire (MD/OH); within 6 months of graduation (PA); upon hire (WV).
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Background check (state and federal) as required.

Responsibilities

• Rotate in all Diagnostic areas to develop technical skills.
• Perform imaging procedures based on patient status and protocols.
• Produce high-quality images with proper exposure factors.
• Minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff.
• Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to imaging.
• Educate patients about radiographic procedures.
