Job summary

WVU Medicine is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging and assist in therapeutic services under the Radiology Department. The role involves rotating through fluoroscopy, mobiles, OR, endoscopy, and orthopedics, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.

The candidate will possess a Medical Imaging degree, state radiography license, ARRT certification, and BLS. The position requires teamwork and a patient-centered approach in a hospital setting at Princeton, WV.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Must possess current Radiography License as required by state board where services will be provided.
• Must be Nationally certified by ARRT as defined by location.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
• State and Federal background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Rotates in all Diagnostic areas for development of technical skills.
• Performs image procedures based on assessment of the patient and imaging protocols.
• Produces images of optimal quality using imaging equipment.
• Select exposure factors based on patient size and pathology to optimize image quality.
• Minimizes radiation exposure to self and others.
• Maintains anatomy knowledge to optimize procedures and patient safety.
• Educates patients regarding radiographic procedures.
• Promotes team approach with radiology staff.
