Job summary

Candidates must graduate from a Medical Imaging program, hold a WV radiography license, be ARRT registered, and obtain BLS within 30 days of hire. Teamwork, safety, and patient-centered care are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Current Radiography License as required by state board where services will be provided.
• National ARRT certification within the required timeframe by location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Rotate in all Diagnostic areas to develop technical skills (Fluoro, Mobiles, Routine, OR, Endoscopy, Orthopedics).
• Perform imaging procedures based on patient status, requests, and protocols with supervision.
• Produce high-quality images using imaging systems and ensure proper delivery/archiving.
• Select exposure factors based on patient size and pathology for optimal image quality and minimal exposure.
• Educate patients about radiographic procedures and answer questions.
• Promote team approach and coordinate with staff to ensure efficient patient care.
• Complete trainings, competencies, and report equipment failures promptly.
• Position patients according to established protocols and oversee student supervision as needed.
