Job summary

Advocate Health's Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital - Radiology in Barrington, IL is seeking a part-time Radiology Technologist. The role requires completion of an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program and ARRT registration, with registry eligibility for new graduates, and BLS per policy.

This position performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, verifies patient information, administers contrast as needed, and collaborates with radiologists.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a formal Radiology Technology Program in an AMA Approved facility.
• Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible and registered within 1 year of hire date for new graduates.
• 1 year of direct patient care work experience preferred. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment and ensures correct anatomic positioning.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
