Ochsner Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist Assistant to support licensed radiologic technologists in performing limited radiographic procedures. The role involves patient preparation, room setup, order verification, and adherence to safety and ALARA standards.

Strong communication and computer/documentation skills are essential. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, to be enrolled in a Medical Imaging program, and BLS certification.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent and enrollment in a Medical Imaging Program.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient in computer use and medical documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare patient for visit and explain procedures.
• Clean and prep examination room for next appointment.
• Verify physician orders for accuracy and readiness.
• Maintain radiographic equipment and work area to standards.
• Perform radiology imaging adhering to ALARA and standards.
• Review patient images for diagnostic quality.
• Perform quality control procedures as required by regulations.
• Adapt communication to patient population and privacy requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
