Ochsner Health System in New Orleans is seeking a Radiology Support Assistant to assist a registered radiologic technologist with limited procedures, patient prep, and safety adherence. You will verify orders, maintain equipment, document procedures, and support the radiology team to ensure timely and accurate patient care.

Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent and current enrollment in a Medical Imaging program; Basic Life Support preferred.

Formación

• Proficient with computers, software, and data entry.
• Strong verbal and written communication for patient care coordination.
• Knowledge of diagnostic radiology procedures and radiology equipment operation.
• Ability to safely operate radiology equipment and follow safety protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare patient for visit and explain procedures.
• Maintain and clean exam rooms and prepare it for next appointment.
• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Ensure radiology equipment and work area meet departmental standards.
• Perform radiology imaging adhering to ALARA principles and quality standards.
• Review patient images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Complete quality control tasks as required by regulations.
