Ochsner is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide radiographic imaging services, ensure patient safety, and maintain high standards of quality. You will operate radiology equipment, verify orders, document in RIS, and collaborate with physicians and staff across departments.

The role emphasizes patient communication, procedural accuracy, and adherence to regulatory standards, with responsibilities ranging from patient prep to room turnover and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Registered by the ARRT and licensed by the state board; BLS certification.
• Proficiency with computers, software and web-based applications; strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patient for the visit and document registration; explain procedures and answer questions.
• Prepare room for next appointment after patient leaves.
• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Operate radiology equipment and RIS to complete imaging per protocol.
• Assess image quality before transmission; ensure regulatory standards are met.
• Support departmental operations, inventory, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
• Interact with diverse patient populations with professionalism and privacy.
