Job summary

University of Utah Health Hospitals and Clinics in Salt Lake City seeks a Radiology Supervisor to oversee the delivery of patient care and staff, coordinate technical radiological activities, and ensure image quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include staffing forecasting, equipment maintenance, HR activities, and direct patient care within the scope of licensure. This on-site leadership role requires strong collaboration and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of technical experience, or the equivalency.
• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Utah.
• One of the following: ARRT CI, MR, R, or VI registrations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees delivery of patient care and customer service, ensuring timely resolution of concerns.
• Supervises all technical radiological functions including patient imaging and image quality management.
• Ensures regulatory measures are followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Monitors equipment performance and reports any failures or needed repairs.
• Jointly forecasts staffing, capital and budgetary needs.
• Analyzes and determines appropriate staffing to support clinical services while maximizing resources.
• Oversees human resource activities such as interviewing and hiring, training, payroll, and performance management.
• Provides direct patient care in accordance with education and/or licensure.
• Purchases medical and office supplies.
