Job summary

Providence Swedish Redmond is seeking a Medical Imaging Scheduler to coordinate outpatient imaging services across CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Radiology, including ED imaging. You will register patients, obtain physician orders and insurance verification, and assist with billing and records while delivering compassionate, accurate service.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent education/experience required or two-year college/technical school in healthcare preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year related healthcare experience may substitute.
• Medical terminology certification or course completion preferred.
• Experience obtaining insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations would help.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient imaging services (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Radiology) and ED imaging.
• Obtain physician orders and insurance verification/pre-authorization.
• Register patients and assist with billing and printing imaging records.
• Answer multiple phone lines and triage patient/physician inquiries.
• Serve as liaison for the imaging department with strong communication and problem-solving.
