Job summary

Providence Swedish Ballard is seeking a scheduling professional to coordinate outpatient imaging services including CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and radiology. You will also schedule mammography and bone density tests and manage referrals, lab reports, and history/physical documents to imaging departments.

The role requires medical terminology knowledge and at least 1 year of medical clerical experience, with preferred experience in radiology scheduling.

Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Medical Terminology.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience required.
• Associate's Degree or completion of two-year vocational program in medical services preferred.
• 1 year of medical scheduling experience with a radiology focus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient imaging services including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and Radiology.
• Schedule Mammography services and bone density tests.
• Acquire and distribute referrals, lab reports and history/physical reports to imaging departments.
• Creatively manipulate schedules to maximize technologist/room/radiologist productivity and revenue.

Expected to creatively manipulate schedules to allow for optimal technologist/room/radiologist productivity - revenue generation. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are vital.
