Qualifications

• 1-2 years of hospital scheduling experience.
• Knowledge of medical imaging terminology and modalities.
• Familiarity with imaging workflows and preps.
• Experience with PACS/CareVue/MediTech systems.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve all incoming messages daily and follow up with patients/physicians.
• Verify insurance coverages and pre-certifications before appointments.
• Enter patient data and insurance verification into Radiology Log.
• Ensure scripts are obtained prior to appointments and include dx code, procedure, and doctor information.
• Verify non-staff physician licenses via OIG as required.
• Confirm next-day patient appointments and collect co-pays if needed.
• Print and burn CDs of images for patients/physicians.
• Fax imaging reports to referring physicians.
• Print daily schedules and share with Radiology/Registration and managers.
