Anderson Hospital is seeking a Scheduling Clerk to manage outpatient diagnostic appointments. You will collect correct patient demographics, verify physician and appointment type, and use scheduling software while providing courteous, professional communication over the phone.

The role requires strong basic computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and excellent interpersonal abilities to coordinate with departments and patients effectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Good telephone manners and interpersonal skills.
• Computer experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Schedules and enters patient appointments in computer system.
• Verifies accuracy of patient name, diagnosis, physician, and other information.
• Communicates schedule changes to patients and staff.
• Immediately enters cancellations in the computer system.
• Attempts to reschedule appointments as needed.
• Contacts patients in case of equipment failure.
• Coordinates schedules with other departments as appropriate.
• Performs clerk/receptionist duties as needed.
