Job summary

Trigg County Hospital Inc. in Cadiz, KY is seeking a Full Time Pre-Auth & Scheduling Specialist for Radiology. The role focuses on scheduling Radiology procedures and learning to verify pre-authorizations, with additional business office duties.

You will schedule patients, confirm appointments, assist with rescheduling after no-shows, and log prior authorizations in the EMR system. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associates Degree in Business is a plus, and prior scheduling

Qualifications

• Prefer 1 year scheduling experience, but not required.
• Authorization experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn prep for Radiology procedures and scheduling processes.
• Schedule patients for Radiology procedures.
• Assist with confirming patients’ appointments.
• Assist with rescheduling patient exams if no-show or cancel.
• Check insurance online for prior authorizations for required exams.
• Log prior authorizations for services in the EMR system.
• Cover vacations/days off for PreAuth Specialist.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Shift: Days

This position will have the responsibility of scheduling appointments for the Radiology department, with some training to acquire and verify pre-authorizations for Radiology procedures and other business office duties to include:

• Learning the prep for all Radiology procedures and how to schedule
• Scheduling patients for Radiology procedures
• Assist with confirming patients’ appointments
• Assist with rescheduling patient exams if they no show or cancel
• Checking insurance online for prior authorizations on required exams
• Log prior authorizations for services within EMR system
• Covering vacation and days off for PreAuth Specialist
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration: N/A

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree in Business ( a plus but not required)

Experience: Prefer one year of scheduling experience. ( not required) Authorization experience also a plus.
