Quorum Health Corporation in Mesquite, NV is seeking a Radiology Scheduler to arrange patient exams and procedures. You will collect demographics, obtain insurance authorizations, and coordinate with radiologists and technologists to keep schedules flowing smoothly.
Strong customer service and accurate data entry are essential; BLS certification required within 3 months of hire. This role supports efficient patient throughput and effective communication across hospital staff.
The Radiology Scheduler is responsible for scheduling appointments for Radiology patient exams and procedures. Obtains all required patient demographic information and processes data according to procedure. Obtains insurance authorizations before scheduling appointments. Coordinates and confirms schedule with physicians and advises patient. Maintains resource schedule availability coordinating with technologist and radiologist schedule. Assists with clerical duties including: overseeing outpatient waiting and assists in maintaining productive patient flow; initiates/receives/relays calls, messages; processes exam requests; verifies patient information; provides reports to physician or designated health care professional; makes computer entries; communicates/interfaces with hospital personnel, medical staff, patients, families, visitors and outside agencies to ensure quality patient care; and operates applicable hospital equipment. Exhibits excellent customer service in all forms of communication. All other duties as assigned.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: Prior medical/hospital office experience. Strong PC, customer service and communication skills.
Licenses/Certificates: BLS required within 3 months of hire.
Rate Range: $16.71-$20.89 (DOE)
