Job summary

Southwest Medical Imaging in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Radiology Scheduler to coordinate imaging appointments and serve as the primary contact for patients, physician offices, and healthcare providers.

You will verify patient demographics and insurance, review orders, provide prep instructions, and ensure scheduling accuracy while handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with professionalism. Proficiency with scheduling systems and office technology is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of medical or call center experience preferred.
• Radiology/Medical Industry, MA or Back Office experience or related Certification a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally from patients, physicians' offices, and other providers.
• Make outbound calls for reminders, rescheduling, or clarifications related to exams including faxed orders.
• Provide accurate information and resolve patient inquiries or issues.
• Ensure all patient communications are courteous and efficient, maintaining high service levels.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for various exams using a computerized system.
• Monitor the schedule and accommodate add-on appointments throughout the day.
• Coordinate with radiology scheduling leads and supervisors as needed.
