You will collect patient demographics, insurance data, and operate the scheduling system, while communicating changes and special requests to stakeholders. This role also serves as a preceptor to new staff and supports department safety and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Six months of office experience in hospital/medical office functions preferred.
• Ability to utilize basic office equipment and computer terminals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the scheduling of imaging procedures with physicians and offices.
• Ensures equipment availability for all scheduled procedures.
• Communicates additions, cancellations and special requests of schedule to all appropriate parties.
• Collects patient demographic and insurance data at the time of procedure scheduling.
• Utilizes the computerized scheduling system and supports updates as available.
• Serves as a preceptor to new employees.
