Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Support Services Supervisor, who reports to the Breast Imaging Program Manager, the radiology receptionist greets and "checks in" patients upon arrival to the Department of Radiology. To facilitate patient arrival, the receptionist reviews patient schedules and changes appointment statuses, informs section of patient arrival, and verifies patient demographic data and reason for visit. The radiology receptionist actively communicates with the radiology sections and patients any disruptions to the schedule that would impact the patient experience or influence the timely performance of their test. The receptionist addresses patients needs as needed while in the radiology waiting room. Does this position require Patient Care?
