Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is recruiting Remote Medical Support Assistants (MSA) to support the Durham VA Medical Center located at 508 Fulton St. Durham, NC 27705. Working hours are Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm, with possible weekend rotation. Competitive packages are available for qualified candidates.

Ansible is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing solutions in national security, health care, and IT to federal clients. We employ dedicated staff committed to our customers' success.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments and consultations; enter no-show data; prepare for clinic visits; monitor appointments and consults.
  • Provide reception support in the Release of Information (ROI) offices at various medical centers.
  • Scan insurance cards, protect secure information, and complete insurance encounters (ICB).
  • Scan records into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to support HIM functions.
  • Handle outgoing and incoming phone calls.
  • Review travel reimbursement requests and reconcile claims using electronic systems.
  • Review ambulance claims for eligibility and payment.
  • Assist in arranging patient transportation and coordinate with clinical teams.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to speak, hear, and write English clearly.
  • Proficient in computer programs (spreadsheets, word processing); typing speed 40-50 wpm with minimal errors.
  • Heavy use of phone and computer, often simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with medical and hospital terminology.
  • Technical proficiency for government requirements; training provided on appointment management, VA policies.
  • Minimum six months of clerical, office, customer service, or administrative experience, or one year of related education or experience.
  • Ability to pass security clearance (NACI-level background check).
  • No sponsorship available.

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist; up to 20 lbs regularly; carry up to 40 lbs; push/pull with 30 lbs force.
