Job summary

VCU Health is seeking a Radiology Reading Room Assistant to support radiologists in a fast-paced, on-site downtown Richmond hospital setting. You will handle phones, emails, triage requests, and maintain patient records while liaising between radiologists and clinicians to keep reading room operations efficient.

Required 3–5 years in healthcare or radiology, High School Diploma (associates preferred), EPIC/PACS experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of healthcare or radiology experience.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail in high-pressure environments.
• Experience with EPIC and PACS systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and email/calendar.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, triage requests, relay information for radiologists.
• Manage radiology worklists, documents, and requisitions.
• Prepare paperwork, filing, and data entry to support operations.
• Greet clinicians and handle requests for preliminary findings.
